Delete my Stream My Music account
This page explains how to close your account for good, what is deleted and what is kept. It is available without signing in.
From the app
This is the most direct route, and it takes effect at once:
- open the Stream My Music app;
- go to the Account tab;
- at the very bottom, tap Delete my account;
- confirm with your password — or, if you sign in with Google, by retyping your username.
From the website
Sign in to your personal space, go to Account, then Delete my account at the bottom of the page.
Without the app or the website
If you can no longer reach your account, write to contact@streammymusic.net from the e-mail address of your account, asking for its deletion. We carry it out within thirty days at most, and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- your account: username, surname, first name, e-mail address, date of birth;
- all your audio files, and the folder that held them;
- your playlists and their contents;
- your own web radios and your favourites;
- your share links, which stop working immediately;
- your sign-in tokens, on every device;
- the link with your Google account, if you used one;
- the messages you had sent us through the contact form.
These deletions are immediate and final: we keep no backup that would allow a closed account to be restored.
What is kept, and why
- Your invoices, for ten years. French accounting law requires it and we cannot depart from it. They hold your name, your address and the amounts; they serve no other purpose.
- At Stripe, our payment provider, the record of the transactions, under its own legal obligations. We have no control over it.
Your subscription
If a subscription is running, it is cancelled automatically when the account is deleted: no payment is taken after the account is closed. Amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded.
